Job Role: Head of Engineering – Hands On – GenAI Platform
Job Description
If you’ve built products and led teams in a high-growth startup — and you’re looking for a step up without stepping away from hands-on coding — this could be the perfect fit.
Techmunity is hiring a Head of Engineering for one of Europe’s most respected early-stage AI startups.
This is a well-funded, high-growth company generating multi-million revenue (and growing monthly), already trusted by some of the world’s most admired tech brands — who use their advanced AI platform to sharpen their competitive edge.
You’ll be joining as the most senior engineer, leading a growing team of 7, and taking ownership of a platform that’s redefining how B2B growth happens — combining production-grade AI agents with multi-channel campaign delivery, orchestration, and scale.
With a Series A on the way, it’s a great time to get involved.
What You’ll Be Doing
This isn’t a people-manager-heavy, meeting-filled role. You’ll be:
- Actively contributing to the product — writing, reviewing, and shipping code weekly
- Defining the technical direction — including architecture, delivery standards, and scalability
- Shaping an inclusive, high-performance engineering culture focused on speed, quality, and sustainability
- Collaborating with a product-first CEO and a technical co-founder who value thoughtful, intentional craft
- Helping grow the team while enabling them to ship reliably and confidently
Tech Stack
Frontend: React, Next.js 14, TypeScript
Backend: Golang, Postgres, Kafka, Redis, BigQuery
Cloud: AWS, Vercel
What They’re Looking For
- Experience at Principal or Staff Engineer level in a successful startup or scale-up
- Strong fullstack ability — especially React/TypeScript on the frontend, and ideally Go on the backend (or eagerness to learn it)
- Proven track record of leading small teams or squads and delivering production-grade software at pace
- A strong sense of ownership, with a focus on building reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems
- Enjoyment of close cross-functional collaboration — especially with design, product, and leadership
- A mindset that sees engineering as a product-enabling function, not a silo
- A collaborative approach — this is a hybrid team working together 3 days a week from their Shoreditch office
Bonus if you’ve worked in B2B SaaS, marketing tech, or built zero-to-one platforms in the past.
Why Join?
They’re offering a highly competitive salary plus meaningful, potentially life-changing equity.
You’ll join a supportive, ambitious team building real AI infrastructure trusted by global leaders.
