Job Role: Lead Web Developer – Bournemouth – PHP, Wordpress, Shopify

Are you an experienced Web Developer looking for a step up into leading a team?

Come speak with this established digital agency in Bournemouth who’ve been growing YOY by 20% and have created a new position for a Lead Web Developer.

They’ve built up a great reputation over the last 10 years with a wide range of brands, ranging from charities to multinationals and startups – so have a strong portfolio of clients and a steady stream of work!

As a Lead Web Developer, you will be coming in to lead a team of 4 developers alongside a very experienced Head of Development – and in the next 6-12 months the plan is that you will take over the whole department, so a great progression opportunity.

The Head of Development values developers who likes to build new systems and work with the latest technologies, as he wants someone who will bring ideas and modern ways of working to the business.

He’s looking for an experienced Web Developer who has 5+ years industry experience – ideally you’ve worked in an agency/client-side environment so you’ve built up experience working with external stakeholders.

If you have experience leading teams and/or projects that will be beneficial as well.

They are looking for technical expertise in:

Backend Development – PHP, Twig, Liquid etc

WordPress and/or Shopify theme development

Frontend Development – JavaScript, HTML, CSS and/or React.js

The salary for this Lead Web Developer is upto £55,000 + a range of benefits.

This is a hybrid role, the team meet up every Monday and Thursday.
