Job Role: Series A ClimateTech – Senior React/Typescript Engineer – Upto £110K
Job Description
Are you a Senior Frontend Engineer who wants to build products that actually help fight climate change, and use the latest AI tools?
Techmunity are hiring on behalf of a well-funded Series A startup at the intersection of green finance, emissions reduction, and live data platforms.
Backed by global investment firms and major names in green energy and transport, they’ve just signed a major financial institution and are expanding across the Middle East and US.
You’ll join a tight-knit dev team (currently 3) and will be given end-to-end ownership of a complex, high-impact frontend codebase – under the mentorship of a CTO who’s published several software architecture books and is an AI keynote speaker, who’s willing to upskill you in this area!
As a Senior Frontend Developer you will:
- Take charge of a large React + TypeScript codebase (500k+ lines of code)
- Handle live data portals built around event-driven architecture, reducing flicker and fighting re-renders
- Refine test coverage and bring structure to a codebase that needs modernization
- Work on innovative features like pollution/heat mapping, hydrogen asset monitoring, and financial tools
- Build intuitive, performant visualizations of complex financial data
You’ll Need:
- 5+ years in modern frontend engineering, ideally coming from a senior or lead role
- Strong in React + TypeScript, ideally with experience in event-driven UIs (WebSockets, real-time feeds)
- Comfortable working on financial dashboards, charts, or statistical tooling
- Excited to learn or use AI tools like GitHub CoPilot and CodeRabbit (used daily here)
Depending on whether you’re coming from a Senior or Lead background, they are paying £80,000–£110,000, plus benefits like share options, private medical, life insurance and much more!
The team meets up Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in their Central London offices.
